, everybody. i'm eric bolling with andrea tantaros, bob beckel, dana perino, and greg gutfeld. it's 5:00 in new york city. this is "the five." ♪ ♪ brand new details in the murder-suicide of n.f.l. star jovan belcher and cassandra perkins. the kansas city star and the "new york post" report that belcher spent the night drinking and partying with a girl named britney glass, at a popular bar district in downtown kansas city. belcher drove miss glass home, dropped her off and passed out in misbentley. 2:50 a.m., cops woke belcher up and told him not to drive. he called glass apt spent the next four hours in her apartment. at 6:45 a.m., he drove the bentley to his home where girlfriend perkins recently arrived with her own night out with friends. argument ensued and belcher shot perkins nine times. belcher's mother and baby were there for the shooting. after killing perkins, belcher kissed the lifeless body, walk toed his mother, kissed his baby girl and left. he drove five miles to the chiefs' practice field after several minutes of pleading with him, they couldn't talk belcher off th

of a death that may be linked to this storm. joe. >> reporter: dana, we have spent our time up here in the santa cruz mountains but along the coastline in the swollen sokel creek which is in the town of capitola, this morning joggers found a body that washed up in the creek. now, police are being careful about this body. they are saying there is no sign of foul play. they say it appears to be a man in his 30s. but coincidentally there were also signs for a missing person in the area. so they are not positive that man was a victim of the storm. that investigation continues. now, back out live here in the mountains. folks here are used to the rain perhaps a little too used to as we saw folks clearing a road in what might be a dangerous manner. the san lorenzo river is rushing fast. in fact, carol hendricks says it appears to be rising more dramatically than she has seen in years. she says 1 1/2 days ago it was tow dry you could walk across the bottom near downtown boulder creek. >> pretty outrageous and if it keeps raining it will go over the dam. >> reporter: as heavy rain keeps fall

is standing pat at the white house to figure out just exactly what the movements are every day. dana bash is on capitol hill. dan, let me start with you. we were just hearing from the president and we were cut off by a nasty satellite. let me talk about these business people and what exactly they can bring to the table because it seems as though he's soliciting them for advice. >> reporter: he is. but at the same time, you brought up a good point, that the president really has been doing a lot of the pressure as opposed to sitting down with lawmakers face-to-face. he's using outside groups to put pressure on lawmakers. so he's had middle class americans here at the white house. he's had small business owners and big-time ceos at the white house and now he's reaching out to the business roundtable. many movers and shakers in the business community to make the case as a white house official that if -- without this fiscal cliff situation being resolved, it doesn't give the certainty that not only businesses need to start making investments, to hiring more people, but also middle class americ

. joining me now, dana bash, jessica yellin, and david gergen. what's the latest? >> reporter: they are a long way from a deal. but late today speaker boehner and president obama did speak to one another on the phone. now, this is an important development because it's the first time they've talked in a week about the fiscal cliff. i am told, though, that there was no real progress in negotiations. in this sense there was no breakthrough on that central point of tax rates. as you know, president obama insists there is no deal unless the gop agrees to raise rates on the top 2% of earners. the gop says that's a nonstarter. and the two men have not moved from that basic position. now, all of this comes at the same time treasury secretary geithner also said for the first time the administration would be willing to go over the fiscal cliff if the gop does not agree to raise those rates. this was treasury secretary geithner earlier today on cnbc. >> is the administration prepared to go over the fiscal cliff? >> oh, absolutely. there's no prospect to an agreement that doesn't involve

found. good evening i'm ken bastida. does and i'm dana king. the couple have been missing since last week's storm. they were found in the snow. roderick and his girlfriend paula lain were last seen at this 7-eleven before leaving for nevada. 15 minutes ago we learned that a relative who was looking for the couple found paula. she was found crawling in the snow. tonight she is in the hospital. the condition of her boyfriend is not yet known. it appears the couple got snuck in the snow and roderick throat get help. he never returned to the car. investigators spoke just a few minutes ago. >> they may have been sightseeing and got stuck in the snow. reports are that they may have stayed in the vehicle for at least one night. roderick left the vehicle to seek help. when he did not return paula left to seek help. >> paula is in stable condition with mild frostbite. no official word yet about what happened to her boyfriend. >> developing news tonight. silicon valley tycoon john mcafee is under arrest. he's been on the run since early november, refusing to turn himself in to authorities in b
